40Hz Gamma Oscillation Improves Sleep

Ongoing research focused on patient exposure to synchronized, 40Hz gamma oscillation and its impact on patients with and without Alzheimer’s disease. Results of this study demonstrated that one hour of daily therapy was well tolerated throughout a 6-month treatment period by all subjects. Test subjects who were exposed to 40Hz sensory stimulation showed prolonged sleep and experienced a significant reduction in native nighttime activity.
